While plastic in the sea and air pollution are widely discussed, hardly anyone thinks about the soil that ultimately transports our most important food: drinking water. Especially in times of climate change and globalisation, it is important to strengthen sustainable and regional solutions – especially when it is the best solution for all of us. If we use the best product for a safe supply of the best water, and produce it locally, then it’s a win-win situation.

‘The best ground – a solid reason’ is committed to the development of supply and disposal networks with high quality and safe cast iron pipe systems. And there is more than one good reason for this! This initiative, developed and supported by all our member companies, brings together the many good reasons for using ductile iron pipe systems in our sensitive living environments. Drinking water pipes and sewers installed in our soil have become an integral part of our lives. Soil and our number one food, drinking water, are the most important basis of our existence. Protecting both is therefore the most important solid reason for us: our high quality and safe ductile cast iron pipes, valves and fittings can do it!
